Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.
These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.
Officers detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.
The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
